Professional Background

Before launching the Law Office of Alison Youssef, I spent years building my knowledge of California trusts and estates law alongside dedicated practitioners in the field. From 2023 to 2025, I worked as a trusts and estates attorney at a highly regarded San Mateo firm established in 1965. Prior to that, I worked hand-in-hand with a seasoned trusts and estates attorney in San Carlos. These chapters provided me with invaluable, hands-on mentorship from colleagues who deeply understand the nuances of trusts and estates practice. I am honored to be recognized by my peers for my outstanding work, as reflected in my nomination as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Complementing my years of hands-on practice in California is a unique international foundation that began in Melbourne, Australia. I completed my Juris Doctor at Melbourne Law School in 2016, which is consistently recognized as a top 10 law school worldwide. I then went on to be admitted as an Australian legal practitioner (the equivalent of an attorney) in 2017. My Australian origin has made me particularly passionate about serving clients with global roots; whether you are navigating overseas family dynamics, managing cross-border assets, or simply adjusting to life in California, I understand the unique perspective that comes with a global lifestyle and take pride in making the estate planning process feel welcoming and seamless.

Beyond the Law

In my spare time, I enjoy supporting the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, being an active member of the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department CERT Team, and spending time outdoors with my family and friends.
